Small, cream‑colored seeds. Plants produce thorny canes with compound leaves. Clusters of small red berries form in summer. Each berry is made of many tiny drupelets. Suitable for home gardens.

  • Sowing: Sow 1/4 inch deep; cold stratify 60 days.

  • Location: Full sun.

  • Soil: Rich, well-drained, slightly acidic.

  • Water: Keep moist; avoid waterlogging.

  • Care: Provide trellis. Prune after fruiting. May take 2-3 years to fruit.
