        Dark brown seeds with a smooth, oval shape. Flowering plants produce apricot, white, and pink blooms, with streaks of deeper color running through the petals. Each flower has three upright standards and three falls. Narrow, sword-shaped green leaves. Suitable for garden beds or borders.

  • Sowing: Sow in well-draining soil, lightly cover. Cold stratification improves germination.

  • Location: Full sun for deepest red contrast.

  • Soil: Fertile, well-drained soil. Add grit for drainage.

  • Water: Keep moist during germination; water deeply once established.
