Product Description & Planting Guide

Seeds from mature iris pods, dark brown and slightly ridged. Flowering plants produce blue blooms with lighter centers and faint yellow veining near the throat. Each flower has upright standards and downward-curving falls. Narrow, sword-shaped leaves remain green through the season. Suitable for border plantings or garden beds.

  • Sowing: Sow in well-draining soil, lightly cover. Cold stratification improves germination.

  • Location: Full sun (6+ hours daily) for best color and blooms.

  • Soil: Fertile, well-drained soil. Add grit if needed. Avoid waterlogging.

  • Water: Keep moist during germination; water deeply once established.

  • Care: Transplant when ready. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowers.
